A Photographic Memoir Of Our 2012 Travels

with 28 Comments

Travelwise, 2012 has been our most fruitful year ever. We visited Asia for the very first time, stayed in some absolutely amazing hotels, and partnered with two outstanding travel companies – Interrail and Japan Rail Pass – that helped us see our dreams come true. We visited an impressive number of 52 destinations in 16 countries and we took over 40,000 pictures. It was a year of firsts and of fulfilled wishes for us. We cruised the Norwegian fjords, visited the astonishing Angkok Wat (and had our hearts broken by the kids selling bracelets among the ruins), saw the midnight sun, had tea with cats in a cat cafe in Japan, relaxed in Bali, fell in love with Tokyo‘s fashion and slept on a sailing ship, among others. It’s been a most wonderfully memorable year and we would like to thank you all for supporting us and for following along.

May 2013 be filled with joy, peace, prosperity, happy travels and incredible dreams that come true in a wonderful way!

I love it too. I guess I just got lucky next to the National Mosque! But then, the ones that we take, not make are some of the best photos, don't you think? 🙂

So, what are your plans for 2013 Laura? Plan a trip to the Caribbean, my favorite!

Thank you, Erica! We live in a beautiful world, that's for sure. In a way I feel it's our duty to explore it and learn more about it. And we kind of owe it to ourselves too, don't you think?

Your pictures are amazing! I have yet to add Asia to places that I've traveled, so I'm jealous.

I totally know how you feel. We were so jealous every time we found out that yet another friend of ours visited Asia. So happy we managed to see some parts of it last year!! 🙂

That's a very nice thing to say, Charu! We were on the road more than 4 months this year. It would be great to beat that in 2013 🙂
